Chalk Pastel Faces

To end our adventures with chalk pastels, using white art paper, and an array of chalk pastel colors, we created these eye catching faces. It's so fun to see how different each one turns out. Super fun!

Outer Space

Using circle cut outs, chalk pastels, paint and black paper we created our own version of outer space. (The kids love splattering the paint to create the star effect.) So fun!

Hearts Stationary Paper

We used pastel chalks along with cutouts to create our own fun stationary paper - so cute!

Hills and Sunsets

We have continued enjoying playing with our pastel chalks - boy, those can get messy! But if used with care - some amazing images can emerge. We played with cold and warm colors to create these hills along with the beautiful sunsets.

Neon Cities Art

These pieces of art were super fun. We used a specific selection of colors from our pastel chalks, city building stencils and white paint to create these fun images.

Lehi Kids Art Classes

Class Details

Goal:

The goal of these art classes is to develop and strengthen artistic skills, build self-esteem, develop a sense of individuality, encourage self expression and stimulate imagination.

The classes will introduce children to basic art skills and give them opportunities to grow as young artists. They are designed to develop art skills for children ages six to nine years old.

There is an array of different areas of art we will cover. Some of these areas are: pastel chalk coloring, watercolors, painting, pencil drawing, multicultural art, and printmaking. With these we'll explore: abstract art, impressionism, realism, expressionism, folk art and cubism.

In each class we'll learn a new art form (or continue on with the art form from the week before). And have fun learning many basic art skills.

There's so much that can be learned through art! Not only do children learn basic art skills but they also naturally learn:

~Persistence
~Expression
~Observation
~Envisioning
~Innovation through exploration
~Reflective self-evaluation
~Perceptive observation
~Self-criticism
~A willingness to experiment and learn from mistakes

Cost:

The cost of these art classes are $20 per month. Supplies will need to be purchased before hand and a list of these supplies will be given to you.

Payments can be made in the form of a check or paid in cash.

Place:

Classes are held in my home in Lehi. Please contact me via e-mail (claudiaorgillathotmaildotcom) if you need my address and if you have any other questions.

Bring:

Art is almost always messy - please send your child wearing clothes that won't matter if they get splattered with paint, smeared with glue or drizzled with ink. Or send your child with an old over sized shirt to protect their clothing.

I look forward to exploring different art concepts with your child and creating new pieces of art with them!
